QA Engineer/Lead Assessor

 

GemPool Recruitment are working with a company based in South Dublin who are looking for a QA to join there growing team. They are looking for someone who has QA experience but also has an interest in the education of students and assessing student exams. The role will involve testing the quality of the students projects while also working on various projects across the company. 

 

Thry are looking for a senior QA who has an educational background and who would be be comfortable in a role where they may have to challenge others. This person will have to have a strong attention to detail and product management experience would be a plus. Experience with Python and Javascript needed.

 

Role: 

 

The Lead Assessor is responsible for managing all processes related to assessing the quality of student projects, with the goal of improving the assessment accuracy, precision and compliance with accreditation needs.

For this job you will be performing QA assessments for student projects. You will also be leading students and ensuring that they are building industry-ready portfolios of coding projects.  You will also facilitate portfolio review meetings. 

 

Requirements: 

 

You will need at least 1 year experience in Manual QA and junior level coding experience in full stack web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript and Python) 

You need to have the ability to lead projects and have people management skills. 

You will need strong communication skills and experience working in an Agile environment. 

You will be reviewing a variety of student projects that will be constantly changing. This role would also involve working closely with Stakeholders also.
